Dr. Blakely
Welcome! My name is Blakely, and I am a counseling and sport psychologist. I enjoy working with elite athletes, high performers, executives, and organizations in the pursuit of their best performances.

I have worked in private practice and consulting for several years, and I previously served as the peak performance sport psychologist for the University of South Carolina and as the Assistant Director for Clinical and Sport Psychology at the University of Arkansas. I predominantly work with elite junior athletes, collegiate athletes, professional athletes, and Olympians to help them further their athletic achievements and enhance their overall competitive experiences. However, I also enjoy providing therapy services and executive coaching services to select clients.
I am excited to provide a full range of performance and psychology services to my hometown of San Antonio and the community where I fell in love with athletics as well! While my practice will be based in Texas, I am also able to provide peak performance work for clients across the United States, and I can provide remote therapy services to clients in PSYPACT member states. I am listed as a provider on the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee registry.

Personally, I am a former collegiate soccer player (Go Davidson!), I was the San Antonio Express News Player of the Year as a high school athlete at Alamo Heights, and I have worked in the Big 12, Big 10, Patriot League, and SEC (East and West) conferences through various jobs over the years. I am a certified yoga instructor and I have training in the provision of biofeedback. I enjoy drawing from various disciplines and experiences to teach mindfulness, breathing, and focus. These days, when I'm not in the office, you can find me with my family, catching Orange Theory classes, and trying to keep a few houseplants alive. I live in the Alamo Heights community with my husband and my very active kiddo!

Lauren Wall

Hi there, I’m Lauren Wall, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) in Texas supervised by Quinn Smelser, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S. I am passionate about supporting older children, teens, college students, and young adults through the many transitions and challenges that come with growing up. I offer individual mental health counseling, play therapy, psychoeducational groups, and work with athletic teams. I aim to help clients process emotions, and engage in reflective, embodied work that supports well-being and fosters a more authentic, fulfilling life.

I began my career working with children through Communities in Schools of Central Texas, providing school-based counseling and play therapy to elementary-aged clients. This experience helped me develop a flexible clinical approach and a strong ability to build meaningful relationships with children and adolescents. While in school to become a counselor, I spent 3 years coaching club swimming at Longhorn Aquatics, where I worked with athletes from elementary through high school. My background as both a former collegiate athlete and club swim coach gives me a unique perspective on the pressures, performance demands, and identity development young athletes often face. Having been on both sides I can understand and connect with my clients on a deep level.
I’m especially drawn to helping young people feel understood, empowered, and more at home in their own skin. I find this work incredibly meaningful—it gives me a deep sense of purpose to be a positive, steady presence in someone’s life. Knowing I can be a safe place for a person to share, grow, and be fully themselves is one of the greatest privileges of my career. My approach integrates expressive therapies, ACT-based approaches, and mindfulness-based work, always tailored to meet the needs and goals of each client. Whether I’m sitting on the floor of the office or walking with you in a local park, my approach is client-centered, creative, and grounded in respect. I’m now based in San Antonio, a city I love and where I’m lucky to be surrounded by a strong community of friends and fellow therapists. When I am not working, you can find me camping under the stars, experimenting with new recipes for dinner parties, or cuddling my very affectionate cat.
